The Home Services Worker/Home Health Aide provides routine, personal services such as companionship, cleaning, laundry, shopping, meal preparation bathing, dressing, or grooming to elderly, convalesent, or disabled persons in their home or in a residential facility. They perform simple procedures as an extension to a more medical model of services and assistance such as skin care, ambulation, bathing, dressing, exercise. feeding, hair care, mouth care, nail care, positioning, shaving, toileting, transfers, and medication reminding. CNA's are preferred for the Home Services Worker position but not required. A CNA certificate is required for the Home Health Aide position. Experience and a team approach is of utmost importance for this position.
